TV Re-Cap: Ross Poldark Takes a Bath & So Does Francis
Oh, sure, Elizabeth. Pretend to be all friends with Demelza. But we know what you’re up to. You can’t charm the Satellite Sisters like we’re George the Weasel.
Lian Dolan and Julie Dolan of the Satellite Sisters re-cap the PBS drama Poldark. This week: Season 2, Episode 4. This episode had two personalities—loving and fun and forboding and tragic. On the Loving and Fun side: Sassy talk between Demelza and Ross! Caroline returns in that red coat and Dr. Ennis goes for it! Even sad sack Francis gets a little action from Elizabeth! On the Foreboding and Tragic Side: Mining, fighting, smuggling and snitching. Elizabeth decides to unload on Ross Poldark in some very inappropriate dinner party conversation. And for goodness sakes, Francis, why didn’t you learn to swim??!! Lots of baths in Cornwall this week, some with cheerier outcomes than others. We watch TV like you do and then talk about it. Join us, Satellite Sisters. Warning! Don’t Google Poldark. Spoilers abound.
But first, we have a few questions:
Since when is Francis a magistrate?
Is Captain Gilbert & Sullivan away on a ship? Why does Verity have so much free time?
Didn’t those red coats learn anything in the revolutionary war? Like buy some green coats?
After that eye-gouging beatdown convince George the Weasal to give up fighting for fencing?
Did it seem strange that Ross & Francis were holding hands during a dance?
How old is Aunt Agatha anyway?
