New Satellite Sisters Show April 22, 2012

by Liz on April 22, 2012

Julie, Liz and Monica tackle the world one cup of coffee at a time. Here is this week’s Satellite Sisters.

Julie turns to her Satellite Sisters to get to the bottom of a medical mystery involving French's Mustard. Can you help us solve it?

First, news on how to sign up for the Satellite Sisters Challenge. If you want to walk and run with us over the next three months, there’s still plenty of time to sign up.  Directions on the show and on our Satellite Sisters Facebook Group.  Monica and Julie both got on board this week.

Then, hey Secret Service.  What’s the deal?  Really?  Which parts of Secret and Service do you not understand?

Julie has some home remedies she’d like to run by our staff R.N. Monica which gives Liz an opening for a glute activation update.

Monica has a book confession.  Julie has a TV confession.  And Liz has a sports confession.  Despite her best efforts to provide a nice quiet afternoon for their father the Red Sox fan, the usual family divisions cropped up when the Yankees proceeded to crush them at Fenway Park on Saturday. After crushing them on Friday too.

Monica takes a moment to remember Levon Helm on today's show after spending many hours on YouTube this week looking at his old videos.

And finally, Monica remembers Levon Helm of The Band.  He died this week.  We end with a small musical salute.

Don’t forget to fill out our survey if you have not done it yet.  Our podcast distributor needs it to help match us with their advertisers.  And if you have not joined our Satellite Sisters Facebook Group, what are you waiting for?

Enjoyed the show. Here is the mustard solution:

Rumor has it that two packages of restaurant ketchup will also work. However, I am a little reluctant to smell like a hot dog so I think I will just use a bar of soap:

Thanks for another great podcast Sisters! Thank you Liz for mentioning my name and facebook post in the podcast. It totally made my day! Just to clarify, I do no live in Las Vegas, nor am I a frequent shopper of Urban Outfitters…just a small-town South Dakota girl on vacation. I thoroughly enjoy the new shows, but also listen to the archives while walking, cleaning, driving, shoveling/mowing (depending on the season.) Love having the Satellite Sisters on my iPod to keep me company while I’m out here in the middle of nowhere!

Awesome Podcast, left me laughing! I work in the medical field and never heard of using pickle juice or mustard for leg cramps!
